Description

The Facility Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to perform general maintenance and repairs on assigned facilities, including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine semi-skilled maintenance for facilities, including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical trade work. Ensure that facilities are available for use and consistently maintained safely and cleanly.
  • Assemble, repair, maintain, and move furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves and related fittings and fixtures
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment; replace filters; identify and report more complex maintenance needs to Facilities Manager.
  • Inspect facility grounds, buildings, and rooftops for safety and security; identify and report hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.
  • Perform routine custodial tasks
  • Assist with structural pest control issues
  • Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of related work experience required
  • Able to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Physical Requirements
  • Able to use hand tools and power tools
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on the specific needs of the day. Estimate 80% of time spent standing/walking and 20% sitting.
  • Occasional need (1% to 33% of the time) to perform the following physical activities:
    • Writing/Typing/Data Entry
    • Corporate/inter-office/employee communication
    • Grasp/Grip/Turning
    • Mouse, Telephone/doorknob use
    • Finger Dexterity
    • Typing, operation of office equipment
  • Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to perform the following physical activities:
    • Climbing ladders, bending, crawling into awkward spaces
    • Lifting up to 50 pounds at a time
    • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
    • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Vision Requirements:
    • Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to complete forms, read and review reports, answer a wide variety of correspondence, and view the computer screen. Frequent need to see small details.
    • Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to see things clearly beyond arm’s reach
  • Hearing Requirements:
    • Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to communicate with employees and vendors over the telephone and in person.
  • Speaking Requirements:
    • Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to communicate with employees and vendors over the telephone and in person.
  • Driving/Traveling Requirements:
    • Constant need (66% to 100%) to utilize company-provided transportation.
    • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
