Description

The primary responsibility of the Accounting Manager is to fulfill revenue objectives and adhere to accounting and reporting policies. This role will also implement ongoing procedural changes and automation initiatives in a fast-paced environment characterized by strict adherence to tight deadlines and dedication to quality control in all aspects of the process.

Requirements

• Manage and review the month-end closing process, including reviewing journal entries, lead schedules, and consolidated financial reports in adherence with GAAP

• Develop and improve processes and timing of the monthly close, perform an analytical review of monthly operating results and accounting workbooks

• Review monthly accruals, monthly and quarterly reporting, and cash projections

• Oversee the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements

• Supervise and train accounting staff members. Be able to provide back-up support for any person on the team.

• Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to the company accounting processes, ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization

• Provide Yardi guidance to the Accounting team as well as team members throughout the company

• Support Controller and Assistant Controller with day-to-day tasks, including cash management, account reconciliations, accounting research, and problem-solving. Assume responsibility for the completion of detailed work, allowing the Assistant Controller and Controller to focus more on review and strategy

• Assist financial planning and budgetary processes, including support with variance analysis

• Provide ad-hoc reporting, financial and accounting support for new acquisitions and restructuring

• Ensure accounting records and reports are maintained timely, accurately, and in accordance with applicable policies and procedures

• Coordinate and support the preparation of information for annual audits and tax returns

• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions

• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy

• Manage and maintain the closing calendar throughout the month

• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required

• Significant Yardi experience is mandatory

• CPA qualifications are a plus

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a portion of it being in a supervisory role

• Strong GAAP knowledge

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills

Description

The Facility Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to perform general maintenance and repairs on assigned facilities, including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine semi-skilled maintenance for facilities, including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical trade work. Ensure that facilities are available for use and consistently maintained safely and cleanly.
  • Assemble, repair, maintain, and move furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves and related fittings and fixtures
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment; replace filters; identify and report more complex maintenance needs to Facilities Manager.
  • Inspect facility grounds, buildings, and rooftops for safety and security; identify and report hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.
  • Perform routine custodial tasks
  • Assist with structural pest control issues
  • Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of related work experience required
  • Able to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Physical Requirements
  • Able to use hand tools and power tools
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on the specific needs of the day. Estimate 80% of time spent standing/walking and 20% sitting.
