Convenience Stores and Gas Stations

Ted & Hedy Orden started the company with one service station over 60 years ago. They skillfully grew the Thrifty Oil Co. brand and portfolio to encompass several hundred stations, becoming the largest independent gas retailer in California. While the Company today still owns a large portfolio of convenience stores and gas stations, it no longer operates them; instead, they are leased to major oil companies and marketers, selling all of California’s major fuel brands. These properties are strategically located on prominent street corners, with high visibility and traffic throughout Southern California. The convenience store and gas station portfolio cash flow has been instrumental in enabling the Company to invest in other commercial properties and expand its real estate operations.
